It is recommended that carpeted areas be cleaned at least once per quarter. This will reduce the amount of dirt and debris that is ground into the carpet fibers, increasing the life of the carpet. All carpet cleans take place after hours unless otherwise requested.
There are three types of carpet cleaning available: steam, dry and spot cleaning.
Steam cleaning involves the heating of water to create steam. This process, along with a small amount of cleaner applied directly on hard to remove spots is the best way of removing dirt particles from carpet fibers. Frequent cleaning of the carpets with this process will not damage the carpet fibers. This type of cleaning is performed overnight to allow dry time before the start of business the following day. The carpet professional may need to lower the temperature of the building to reduce humidity and speed up the drying process.
Dry cleaning involves a dry and powdered type of cleaner that is sprinkled on the affected carpet areas. This cleaner is then worked into the fibers with a “brush machine”, and then vacuumed. This type of cleaning is good for situations when there can be little or no dry time.
Spot cleaning is defined as a reasonably small area that can be treated with a hand held can of carpet cleaner. This type of clean is usually limited to small spills, a small number of muddy footprints, and such.
All requested carpet cleans will be based on a per “area” pricing structure. An “area” is defined as a well defined and contained area of carpet, such as an individual room, staircase, hallway, etc.
